Vasco da Gama soccer team pushed aside Atletico-GO 2-0 on Saturday to collect their 10th round victory in the Brazilian Championship.
Vasco da Gama has extended their unbeaten streak to four games since the tournament resumed after the month-long break due to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Vasco da Gama scored their first goal in the 33rd minute through Nilton from just outside of the box. The team scored their second goal in the 53rd minute when Fumagalli picked up a loose ball in front of the Atletico-GO goal, firing the ball into the upper right corner of the net.
Vasco da Gama' s win takes them to twelfth place in the Brazilian Championship with 13 points. The team will face cross-town rival Flamengo in the 12th round of play on August 1.
Atletico-GO remains in twentieth and last place with seven points. In the next round of play, the team will host Guarani on July 31.
