Real Madrid Friday presented Pedro Leon as the club's second new signing of the summer.

The 24-year-old, who can play both at right back or on the right of midfield, cost 10 million euros (13 million U.S. dollars) from Getafe and has agreed a six-year-deal with the club.

Pedro Leon, who has also played for Murcia, Levante and Valladolid, scored nine goals for Getafe last season and was one of the main reasons his former club finished sixth in the BBVA Primera Liga.

A talented player who is able to both beat his man with the ball and deliver accurate crosses from the right wing, he will provide competition for Real Madrid's other summer signing, Di Maria, while also providing cover from Spain international right back Sergio Ramos.

"I am very excited and looking forward to starting work with Jose Mourinho. This is incredible," said Pedro Leon, whose brother Luis Leon Sanchez is a professional cyclist, currently riding in the Tour de France cycle race.

It looks as if Real Madrid's summer spending spree has not yet finished, the Spanish press expects the club to seal the signing of German international Sami Khedira from Stuttgart in the near future, while Mourinho still wants to sign either a central defender or a left back.
