Uruguay was more intense than Mexico during the match for the first place of the Group A at the World Cup of South Africa 2010, which gave Uruguay the ticket for the second round, Mexico's coach Javier Aguirre said on Tuesday.

Aguirre said he was upset with the defeat 0-1 against Uruguay.

"There were more intense, we sought to win the match, we tried, there had the goal and scored it," Aguirre said in a press conference.

Aguirre said the match "was not pleasant, but very disputed."

Aguirre said in the match against Argentina during the second round, he expects Mexico to play a perfect match to make history.

"Argentina is not only (Leonel) Messi, Argentina is stronger, powerful, we are going to expect to have the logic," Aguirre said.

However, defense of Mexican national soccer team Rafael Marquez said on Tuesday that his team had a poor performance during the match against Uruguay, which lost by 0-1 at the World Cup of South Africa 2010.

"I think Uruguay has done better, with integrity, courage, which are we did not have," Marquez said.

Marquez said that in the next match against Argentina, in the second round, Mexico has "to be more demanding and do not be conformed with the performance" at the match against France.
