Gonzalo Fierro and Esteban Paredes scored a goal each to help Chile beat New Zealand 2-0 in a World Cup warm-up match Wednesday.
Fierro scored with a shot at the near post in the 67th minute, with Paredes firing the second three minutes later.
Chile striker Humberto Suazo was missing the match held in Ka Nyamazane, a small town near Nelspruit, with a left thigh injury, while New Zealand captain Ryan Nelsen stayed in Johannesburg because of a minor ear infection but should be fit for the start of the tournament.
Chile starts its World Cup campaign against Honduras on June 16, while New Zealand kicks off against Slovakia on June 15.
