Former World Player of the Year Ronaldo scored as Corinthians beat Paraguayan team Cerro Porteno 2-1 on Thursday in a Group 1 match of the 2010 Libertadores Cup.

Ronaldo tapped the ball into an open goal in the 36th minute after Moacir's cross was parried away by Cerro Porteno goalkeeper.

Chicao put Corinthians 2-0 ahead with a solo effort in the 63rd minute before Cerro Porteno pulled one goal back on 80 minutes through Julio dos Santos.

Corinthians now leads Group 1 with 10 points, while Cerro Porteno stays at the bottom with only one point after four rounds of play.
