Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona confirmed Sunday that midfielder Andres Iniesta will be out of action for the next 10 days with a muscle injury in his right thigh, set to miss Champions League quarter-fianl's first leg.

Iniesta limped out of Barcelona's 1-0 win over Mallorca in the 50th minute, to be replaced by Leo Messi.

On Sunday, the club confirmed the extent of his injury. The Spain international will miss this Wednesday's trip to play Arsenal in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final and next Saturday's La Liga match at home to Athletic Club Bilbao.

He will then be a doubt for the return leg against Arsenal the following Tuesday.

The good news for Barcelona is that Xavi Hernandez returned to action on Saturday night. Xavi, who has been suffering from a calf injury, played 30 minutes as a second half substitute in Mallorca.
