DPRK to kick off Premier League soccer touranament

Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) is going to adopt league matches in soccer match, the official news agency KCNA reported on Monday.

The report said that the first round of the “premier league” went on at Kim Il Sung Stadium in Pyongyang from February 20 and would continue till March 22.

According to the report, participating in the soccer matches are 9 men's and 8 women's teams that took good scores in total standings of local tournaments held last year.

It said this year's local tournaments were drawing attention of soccer experts and fans as they were held in a round robin format to correctly assess the competence of every team.
