Robinho made his official debut with Santos on Sunday, scoring the game winning goal against Sao Paulo. In the seventh round of play of the 2010 Sao Paulo state tournament, Santos stands in first place with 16 points.

After a five-year absence from Santos, Robinho returned to the club and continued right where he left off: scoring goals. Coming off the reserve bench, the striker entered the match in the 57th minute of the game. With the score tied at 1-1 (Nilmar 38th minute, Roger in the 66th minute), Robinho would score the go-ahead goal of the game in the 85th minute.

Santos' midfielder Wesley dribbled down the right side of the field. Running out of room, Wesley crossed the ball towards the mouth of the Sao Paulo goal. Robinho, slightly ahead of the ball, extended his right leg and artistically redirected the ball with his heel, sending the ball past a helpless Rogerio Ceni and into the Sao Paulo net.

"Thank goodness I was able to score a goal. It was a good-looking goal, but it was quite simple. Knocking it in with my heel was the only possible way that I could have made contact with ball. I am thrilled with today's result, but I still have a long way to go in terms of getting in sync with the rest of the players and bettering my physical shape,"declared Robinho after the game.

In the eighth round of play, Santos will host Rio Claro on February 14. Sao Paulo, who is gearing up for their debut in the 2010 Libertadores Cup, will travel to play Ituano on February 13.

Sao Paulo plays host to the Mexican club of Monterrey on February 10 in the opening round of play of the Libertadores.
