The Ceara soccer team announced the arrival of Rene Simoes as their new head coach on Sunday.
The highly sought after head coach with years of experience will lead the team in what the administration and fans hope will be an exciting first division of the 2010 Brazilian Championship.
Simoes will be officially presented to the media and fans of Ceara on Monday by the club president Carlos de Alencar Pinto. On December 26, Simoes will meet his new players for the first time.
The 57-year-old coach has already worked for teams such as Fluminense, Coritiba and Vitoria. He also coached the national team of Jamaica in the 1998 World Cup. Additionally, Simoes coached Brazil women's national team to a silver medal in the 2004Olympic Games.
