Brazilian soccer club Corinthians announced on Wednesday that they will not give up on Boca Juniors's Argentinean midfielder Riquelme despite the star player said earlier he did not want to play in Brazil.

The team's marketing director Luis Paulo Rosenburg is planning a trip to Argentina on Thursday in order to speak personally with Riquelme.

Rosenburg is scheduled to meet with the heads of administration at Boca Juniors as well as the midfielder himself.

The Corinthian soccer club is optimistic about Riquelme's contract in 2010. The club admitted that the deal is "complicated" but expected that Riquelme makes the right decision.
