Osasuna coach Jose Antonio Camacho has seen his contract extended to 2010 after he helped the club avoid relegation, the Primera Liga club said on their website (www.osasuna.es) Thursday.

The 53-year-old replaced Jose Angel Ziganda last October and avoided relegation with a victory

over one of his former clubs Real Madrid on the final day of the season last weekend.

Camacho was coach of the Spanish national team between 1998 and 2002 guiding them to the quarter-finals of both Euro 2000 and the 2002 World Cup.
