Being one of the best teams in the world, Brazil brought home silver in both the Athens Olympics and 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup.
However, there is a tough road in front of the girls, as they have been drawn in the "Group of Death" which also includes two-time FIFA World Champions Germany, African Champions Nigeria and Asian champions Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
All the other three teams have arrived in Shenyang, the capital of the northest China's Liaoning Province, to run up to the Olympics.
Brazil will play the opening match against Germany at the Shenyang Olympic Stadium on Aug. 6, to whom they lost 2-0 in the 2007 World Cup final.
"I hope the team can play well in the first game against Germany," said Jorge Barcellos, coach of the team. "The group is very tough, but Brazil is very strong to play the Olympics. The most important thing is that we need to have confidence to win the gold medal."
