Lakers' Barnes undergoes knee surgery

Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes has undergone a surgery on a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee, the team announced on Tuesday.
The surgery was done Tuesday by Lakers physician Steve Lombardo at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
Barnes, who picked up the injury in Lakers' 101-97 home win against New Orleans last Friday, is expected to be out about eight weeks.
Barnes has averaged 7.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 37 games this season.
