In preparation for the women's American Cup of basketball, Brazil hosted a friendly match on Saturday against Argentina in Sao Paulo's Barueri where the hosts won 65-50.
"We still have some problems to work out. We took away the key offensive aspects of Argentina's game. We need to improve our offense, especially our free-throws," analyzed the Brazilian head coach, Paulo Bassul after the victory.
Kelly led the Brazilians with 14 points and nine rebounds. Karina added nine points and five rebounds. For Argentina, Sanchezled her team with seven points and four rebounds.
Saturday's game was the first of two friendlies between the rival teams in preparation for the American Cup.
The Cup will be held in Cuiaba, Mato Grosso of Brazil from Sept. 23-27.
Brazil is in Group A, alongside Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Canada. The hosts' first game will be on Sept. 23 against Puerto Rico.
