Juan Mendez had a match-high 30 points and 13 rebounds for Xinjiang, who played the entire 48 minutes, as well as Xu Guochong and Myron Allen.

Guangdong staggered Xinjiang with 31 points in the final quarter and also completed the knockout with defense, holding Xinjiang to just 16 points.

Xinjiang hurt themselves by going 15-39 in the field shooting and was outrebounded 47-35 during the whole match.
