Guangzhou's Li Yanmei claimed the second gold medal to her harvest at the 6th Chinese City Games, beating Asian championships silver medalist Sha Li to the second place in the women's triple jump final on Wednesday after Tuesday's victory in women's long jump.

The 17-year-old, also the double winner of the same events at the Chinese University Games in 2006, made her title winning jump in the fourth round with a mark of 13.93 meters, 0.64 meters away from the national junior record which has been held by Huang Qiuyan for ten years.

Liu Yanan of Baoding took the silver medal with a result of 13.80m, while Hu Qian of Xiamen was the third on 13.62.

Sha Li, the silver medalist on Tuesday with just 0.1 meter behind Li Yanmei in the women's long jump final, only finished fourth in the triple jump event, getting her best result of all her attempts at the night for 13.61m.

The 19-year-old Sha has earned a personal best last July after coming out the silver medalist on 14.03m at the Asian athletics championships.
