Kenyan athlete David Emanuel Cheruiyot won the 29th International Eurasia Marathon in Istanbul on Sunday, local NTV reported.

Cheruiyot clocked 2:10:56 and won the men's title.

Mark Windot Yatich of Kenya finished second, and Ethiopian athlete Tariku Jufar was ranked the third.

Ethiopian athlete Bayisa Alseda Tesema won the women's race with a time of 2:29:05.

Malgorzata Sobanska of Poland came second and Olga Glok of Russia settled for the bronze medal.
