Belgian Kim Clijsters beat Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark 7-5, 6-3 to win the U.S. Open women's title on Sunday.

Clijsters, who came back from two years of retirement, took only 93 minutes to win her second grad slam crown, following her first here in 2005.

Wozniachi, the ninth seed, was appearing in her first grand slam championship match.
