6 countries to attend S. American chess event

The Bolivian Chess Federation (FBA) on Thursday said that 25 chess players from Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia, will attend the 7th Under-20 South American Chess Championship.

The championship will be held in Tarija city, south of Bolivia, from May 3 to 9.

The FBA said that from the 25 players, 11 are Bolivians, including current national champions Daniela Cordero and Pablo Arias.

The winner will qualify for the Under-20 Pan American Championship to be held in Ecuador from May 18 to 24.
