French pilot Sebastine Loeb on Sunday won for the fifth consecutive time the Rally of Mexico for the second stage of the World Championship of Rally.

Loeb, seven times champion of the world, defeated Finnish pilot Mikko Hirvonen, in the event hosted on Sunday in Guanajuato state, center of Mexico.

Loeb took advantage of a mechanical failure in the car of French Sebastien Ogier.

Ogier was the winner of the previous stage with an advantage of 10.5 seconds over Loeb.

Loeb however timed three hours, 53 minutes and 17 seconds.

The third place is for Finissh Jari-Matti Latvala who arrived 45 seconds later.

"Of course I did not like seeing him in the accident (referring to Ogier). It is not pleasant to have so much pressure among teammates, because we are also rivals in the championship," Loeb told the press.

"It was a hard weekend, but we have done almost a perfect weekend," he added.
