Philippine boxer Manny Pacquiao was named Fighter of the Year for the third time on Friday by the Boxing Writers Association of America.
Pacquiao was also named Fighter of the Decade while his trainer Freddie Roach was honored as Trainer of the Year for the fourth time.
Pacquiao took an overwhelming win in the voting by the organization's members after a year when he produced a second-round knockout of Ricky Hatton to win a light welterweight belt and a brutal 12th-round stoppage of Miguel Cotto to lift the welterweight title and collected belts in a record seven divisions.
