Olympians confront each others in Chinese gymnastics championships

The 2010 National Gymnastics Championship of China kicked off in Xiantao, Hubei Province, a cradle of the gymnastics champions, on Thursday afternoon.

Among the Olympic champions attending are Chen Yibing, Teng Haibin, He Kexin, Deng Linlin, Jiang Yuyuan, Li Shanshan and Yang Yilin.

"I have mastered some new tricks, and will have a try in this tourney to prepare for the World Championship and Asia Games this year," national captain Chen said.

The four-day event has attracted 200 gymnasts from 22 provincial teams of China, including most of athletes from the national team.

Thursday had seen Feng Zhe winning the men's all-round gold for Sichuan, while the women's all-round final will be held on Friday and the men's single final kicks off this weekend.
