Upon their arrival in Brazil on Tuesday, both Kaka and Luis Fabiano began their physical therapy.
Both members of the Brazilian national soccer team hope to cure their injuries in preparation for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Kaka is suffering from an ailing upper left thigh and pubic region. However, responding to the surrounding media, the star midfielder demonstrated his optimism, declaring that he will be fine and well by the beginning of the World Cup on June 11.
Luis Fabiano suffered an awkward injury in his lower left thigh on May 15 during warm-ups for his Spanish club's match between Sevilla and Almeira in the Spanish Championship.
Relieved of his duty with Sevilla, Luis Fabiano left Spain in order to receive the close and personal attention of the Brazilian national team's doctors.
"Luis Fabiano and Kaka have already begun their physical therapy. They are at the Refiss Center in Sao Paulo. Both are complaining of a sore left thigh. Luis Fabiano has a first degree strain while Kaka is suffering from a deep tissue strain but is close to being 100 percent," said the chief physical therapist of the Brazilian national team, Luis Rosan.
Rosan added that both athletes should be ready to join the rest of the national team on May 21 in the Brazilian national team's first meeting since Dunga's May 11 announcement of the 23 players who will represent Brazil in South Africa.
