Indonesia's Uber Cup team faces a tough challenge in the qualification round of Asian Zone as the country is grouped with South Korea, host Thailand, Singapore and Sri Lanka, Kompas daily quoted an official as saying on Friday.

"We will face tough challenge even though we still have opportunity. Of course we hope that our team could pass the test in competing with South Korea and Thailand," said the Vice Chairman of Indonesian Badminton Association Gusti Made Oka here.

Oka, who is also the head of Thomas and Uber Cup teams, said that the preparation runs well so far.

The qualification round will be held at Nakhon Ratchasima of Thailand on Feb. 22-28, with the top three teams through to the final round.
