Australian Michael Diamond grabbed the men's trap title at the ISSF World Cup (Shotgun) here on Monday.
Diamond hit 134 targets out of 150 in the final to claim his third gold in the World Cup Finals.
Italy's Massimo Fabbrizi took the silver medal with 133 hits, and his compatriot Giovanni Pellielo had bronze with 130 hits.
Diamond, Fabbrizi and Pellielo entered the final with a huge advantage over other shooters. Pellielo led the other two by one hit.
However, Pellielo was the first competitor to make an error, missing one target at the second shot. Then Fabbrizi missed the third and fourth targets, making Diamond the leader after the fourth shot.
Pellielo didn't overcome his bad luck afterwards. He missed nine consecutive targets to keep himself away from the gold.
