Chicago mayor's wife Maggie Daley has left for Copenhagen to support her city's bid for the 2016 Olympic Games.

Daley, together with a dozen athletes including gymnastic stars Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner and track star Jackie Joyner-Kersee, will join her husband Richard M. Daley who is already in the Danish capital.

The International Olympic Committee will decide the 2016 host among Chicago, Tokyo, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro.
