LOS ANGELES: The Chicago Cubs continued their domination over National League Central rival Milwaukee, with a 7-2 road victory over the Brewers on Wednesday.
A third-straight win in the four-game series gave Chicago a comfortable four-game lead in the division.
"These guys (Milwaukee) have a good team and great pitching and we anticipate them being there the whole year and being on our heels," Cubs shortstop Ryan Theriot told reporters.
"We have to continue to play well, because we know they will."
Starter Ryan Dempster led the way with a strong outing, picking up his 12th win of the year. The right-hander threw seven innings, allowing one run, five hits and striking out nine.
