The "Sport in Art" exhibition, which was supported by adidas, the official sportswear partner of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, opened in Beijing last Friday.

Under the theme of humanity and sports, the exhibition shows artwork from more than 70 artists from China and abroad to convey the spirit and passion of the Olympic Games.

To celebrate the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, adidas has included 10 unique works from the world's most inspiring sportsmen and women, including Olympians Tyson Gay and Yelena Isinbayeva as well as David Beckham and Ian Thorpe. Before the exhibition's arrival in the capital, it was seen in Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shenyang, and Shanghai, where the tour began in November 2007.

After the Olympics, most of the art will be auctioned by Sotheby's in Hong Kong.
