Preparation progressing for Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games |

Preparation for the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games is progressing smoothly and handicapped utilities has developed throughout, said Tang Xiaoquan, executive vice president of the BOCOG and President of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, at the Beijing Olympic Media Center on May 14.
Tang said that 18 venues for the Beijing Paralympic Games were selected from the Beijing Olympic Games to hold 18 events of the Paralympic Games. There are another two venues respectively in Qingdao (city of China's eastern Shandong Province) and the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong.
The timetable for the Paralympic Games has been made by the International Paralympic Games Committee. The Entries & Qualifications policies have also been completed. The dispersing plan for Paralympic games tickets will be launched on the International Day of Disabled Persons (the third Sunday of May). The tickets for the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games Opening/Closing Ceremonies began to disperse in December 2007. Tickets for the games tickets will be dispersed later.
