Lew Yih Wey snatches women's 200m backstroke gold at SEA Games

Malaysia's Lew Yih Wey snatched gold in the women's 200 meter backstroke swimming at the 2007 South East Asian (SEA) Games on Friday.

Lew powered past Thailand's T. Soonthorn Nimitta and Lim Jia YiShana of Singapore in the final few meters to win in two minutes 17.39 seconds.

Nimitta out-dipped Lim to win silver in 2:20.84 and Lim had to be content with bronze in 2:21.43.
