Italian Noemi Batki shared the gold medal with Maria Voloshchenko of Ukraine in the women's 1m springboard diving competition with identical 280.65 points at the 24th Universiade on Wednesday.
Voloshchenko scored 55.00 points on the last dive to tie it with leader Batki, while Mary Yarrison won the bronze by 276.30 points in her first senior world competition.
China's Yao Xinyi, preliminary-round and semi-final leader, had a blunder on the last dive, scoring only 16.90 points to finish seventh with 243.95 points.
"I didn't feel nervous. It's just a common mistake you may make during every practice. Unfortunately it happened on the last dive here," Yao said.
"I really like Maria and am happy to share gold medal with her, " Batki said.
