Hosted by Ministry of Commerce and supported by Beijing Municipal Government, the third China Trade in Services Congress was held in Beijing on June 1.

Cheng Deming, Minister of Commerce, said that China will further improve the level of opening up service industry to foreign investors, continue to allow more foreign participants to take part in China's financial and logistics industries and steadily open more fields to outside world, such as education, medical care and sports.

During the 11th Five-Year Plan period from 2006 to 2010, China's services trade and goods trade saw a remarkable growth by mutual promotion and have developed in a harmonious way. As of the end of 2010, the country's service trade exports increased from eighth to fifth place in the world ranking, while the imports rose to fourth place from seventh.
