On May 30, the New China Cargo Airline started its business in Shanghai with a registered capital of 3 billion yuan, or 463 million U.S. dollars, which makes it the country's largest cargo carrier.

A joint venture of the former China Cargo Airlines, Shanghai Airlines Cargo and Great Wall International Shipping Ltd., it owns a large number of freight routes and operates the belly cargo business in 337 passenger airlines of China Eastern Airlines at 152 navigation points. Through the international cooperation and consistently improved ground distribution network, the New China Cargo Airline is making an effort to extend its freight service to more than 200 destinations worldwide.
