An official at the Ministry of Land and Resources revealed that the government was organizing some provinces such as Inner Mogolia, Shandong to make a unified supervision plan in rare earth extraction.
The plan includes building a monitoring system covering production, transportation and sales to tighten control over the rare earth market. China is the leading exporter of rare earth metals.
