General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) released list of substandard imported food and cosmetics of March this year with brands like Pringles on it.

86 batches of foreign food and cosmetics were blocked outside China, including nearly 39 kilograms of Pringles potato chips from the United States, which were found to contain a level of bacterial colonies that exceeded the state standard.

The 38.92 kilograms of Pringles potato chips imported from the United States has been returned. Three kinds of formula milk powder from French company Nutribio were also on the "blacklist" because they failed to pass the test, and a total of 131.4 tons milk powder have all been returned.

Kashi Kobo jackfruit chips imported from Vietnam have also been returned due to bacteria. Heinz salad sauce imported from the United Kingdom was found to have been made using illegal chemical substances, such as riboflavin, and has been destroyed.

Officials at the AQSIQ stressed that all these foreign foods and cosmetics on the "blacklist" have been returned, destroyed or converted to other use and did not enter the domestic market.
