SOE profits up 14.6 percent

China's State-owned enterprises (SOEs) under the supervision of the State assets watchdog posted a 14.6 percent rise in profits in 2009, said the watchdog.

The SOEs had a combined 797.72 billion yuan in profits last year, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission said on its website.

Their revenues totaled 12.6 trillion yuan in 2009, up 6 percent over year previous, according to the statement.
