Beijing will strictly prohibit online sales of fireworks and firecrackers. At present, fireworks sellers are ready for the Chinese New Year sales with 800,000 boxes of various fireworks in storage ready to supply China's capital city.

Beijing municipal government said they have strict requirements as well as relevant laws and regulations for the time, place, transportation and storage methods of fireworks and firecrackers sale. Online sales of fireworks and firecrackers have difficulty meeting security conditions, so Beijing strictly prohibits sale of fireworks and firecrackers through the net. If Internet sales are discovered, the fireworks Office of Beijing municipal government will immediately investigate and punish those involved.

According to reports, distribution of the fireworks to the sales outlets is already underway.

Beijing safety supervision departments have approved 2,418 fireworks sales outlets in the city, 10.1 percent more than last year.
