Chinese shares close down Thursday

Chinese shares fell Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.46 percent, or 13.20 points, to 2,859.74.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.59 percent, or 72.58 points, to 12,158.11.
