The gold price in Hong Kong closed higher at 11,233 HK dollars per tael on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to 1,213.07 U.S. dollars a troy ounce at Wednesday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.773 HK dollars.
