Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that declining of the national economy would be finally overcome in 2012.
"If everything will go in an optimistic scenario, there will be 6 percent growth in 2011. In 2012 we would reach pre-crisis level," Azarov said at a press conference in Kiev on Monday.
He noted the national economy declined 15.1 percent in 2009.
Azarov reminded that the real gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to reach 4.5 percent in 2011.
He also stressed that the next year will be difficult for the country as Ukraine will repay about 10 billion dollars of due foreign debt.
Ukraine's GDP in 2011-2012 is expected to grow 4 percent, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said earlier in its macroeconomic review.
The bank also noted that the country's economy was growing faster than expected.
