Regarding the debt-stricken Greece, which has shattered the fragile eurozone, support has finally been secured after repeated refusals.
"I want to be very clear. If necessary, eurozone governments will fulfil their commitments, and there can be no doubt about that," French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Sunday after meeting with Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou in Paris, who had being snubbed in a Berlin visit.
"A scenario in which help is necessary will not become reality," Greek central bank governor George Provopoulos said in an interview published Monday, saying the demand for its bond sale could support Athens' need for funds.
