Greece is due to put on the market for sale a new string of 10-year bonds, according to Finance Ministry sources in Athens on Thursday morning.

In a first big test of the markets' reaction to the new package of austerity measures to solve the country's economic woes, the Public Debt Management Agency is expected to make an announcement on the issue later in the day.

Greece is seeking more than 50 billion euros from the markets this year and for the moment has already received approximately 12 billion euros by selling state bonds in the past two months.
