Amazon.com Inc. on Tuesday launched a new membership-only fashion site MYHABIT, joining the market of on-line flashing sales.

MYHABIT features daily sales beginning at 9:00 a.m. PT from top brands running across women's, men's and children's departments. MYHABIT provides a 360-degree video footage of the product, along with descriptions and images with a zoom feature.

"MYHABIT customers will discover designer clothing at 60 percent off, with free shipping and easy returns," Maria Rena, president of MYHABIT, said in a statement.

Currently, anyone with an Amazon account can sign up for MYHABIT, but Amazon did not say whether the site would limit membership in the future.

The on-line flashing sale has been quite popular in the United States since Gilt Group first launched its invitation-only website in 2007 to sell designer apparel, home goods and high-end travel destinations at discounted prices in a limited-time sale format.

Gilt's revenue reached 170 million U.S. dollars in its 2009 fiscal year. Similar sites have been sprouting these years in fashion, travel and home goods.
