Peru's capital city will host the midyear meeting of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the 14th Business Future of the Americas (BFA) conference in June, local media reported Tuesday.

The event, which runs from June 21 through June 24, aims to boost the efficiency of international trade and reduce transaction costs between the participating countries.

The BFA meeting will bring together entrepreneurs from Latin America who seek to encourage private investment as the main engine of economic growth and facilitate trade in the region.

High-level government officials and delegations from over 23 countries in Latin America as well as the United States will attend the meeting.
