Who are the world's best CEOs?

Harvard Business Review recently named the world's 100 best-performing Chief Executive Officers (CEOs). Among the top ten best CEOs, the United States had 7, India, Russia and South Korea have one person in the top ten respectively, and no Chinese CEO is on the list.

The survey evaluated performance during their tenure of 1999 CEOs from the major multinational corporations who took office from 1995 to 2007. Steve Jobs from America's Apple occupies the top spot. In second place was Yun Jong-Yong from South Korea's Samsung Electronics, followed by Gazprom CEO Alexey B. Miller, John T. Chambers from the U.S. network equipment company Cisco Systems, Inc., and India's Reliance Industries CEO Mukesh D. Ambani.

Ranked sixth to tenth place are: Gilead Sciences ' Chairman and CEO John C Martin from the United States, Amazon.com CEO Jeffrey P. Bezos, EBay CEO Margaret C. Whitman, Google CEO Eric E. Schmidt, and Monsanto CEO Hugh Grant.

The average age of CEO surveyed was 52 years old, and had held the post of CEO for six years.
