The World Bank will grant Indonesia 600 mln U.S. dollars to build a hydro power plant called the Upper Cisokan with a capacity of 1,024 megawatt (MW), the detikcom online news quoted an official as saying on Wednesday.
"The loan is worth 600 million dollars from the World Bank that will be signed this year," said Nasri Sebayang, director of planning and technology in the state power company Perusahaan Listrik Negara.
Sebayang said that the Upper Cisokan hydro power plant is scheduled to be finished in 2014.
