Nikkei opens higher on Wall Street gains

In the first 15 minutes of trading, the benchmark Nikkei-225 index advanced 20.67 points, or 0.22 percent, from Thursday to 9,556.41.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 0.42 points, or 0.05 percent, to 861. 44. The Second Section also rose.
