Nikkei opens sharply lower on disappointing job data

Nikkei opened sharply lower Monday on disappointing U.S. jobs data.
In the first 15 minutes of trading, the benchmark index lost 315.43 points, or 3.19 percent, from Friday to 9,585.76.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 24.62 points, or 2.77 percent, to 865.54. The Second Section also lost ground.
