Indonesia's Industry Ministry has composed a re-industrialization plan to accelerate recovery on industrial performance in the next five years, a minister said here on Monday.

In written answers to questions posed by parliament, Industry Minister MS Hidayat said that the plan referrers to the National Industry Policy and strategy of the country's cabinet which are pro-growth, pro-job and pro-poor.

Vice Industry Minister Alex Retraubun while reading the minister's answers said that the plan is called the Trilogy of Industrial Development.

"The trilogy consists of industrial growth through development and strengthening of 35 industrial cluster priorities, industrial equalization through a development and strengthening of small and middle industries, and industrial distribution through a development and strengthening superior industry in 33 provinces," said Retraubun.

He said that conditions expected to be reached in the next five years are resolving problems and programs completion of industrial revitalization, consolidation and restructuring that were impacted by recent crisis and resurgence of industries that could create massive jobs.

"Besides, we aim to increase competitiveness of export-oriented industries and to grow potential industries that will move industrial growth in the future," said Alex.

Based on the Central Bureau of Statistics, realization of industrial performance in the last five years kept decreasing, triggering concern of de-industrialization.

In 2005, the industrial production growth was at 1.29 percent, decreasing to -1.63 in 2006. In 2007, it grew to 5.57 percent but it dropped to 3.01 percent in 2008 and to 1.47 percent in 2009.
