Vietnamese inflation accelerated to a one-year high in March as a devalued dong pushed up import costs and the government raised power prices, suggesting policymakers may need to further increase borrowing costs.

Consumer prices jumped 9.46 percent from a year earlier after gaining 8.46 percent in February, according to figures from the General Statistics Office in Hanoi.
